Thomas McCarrick, MD, MBI
Managing Partner/Chief Medical Officer/Chief Medical Informatics Officer
Dr. McCarrick is a family physician and has been in practice, in the Verona – Cedar Grove area, since 1985. He is a graduate of Regis High School in New York, the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in family practice at Mountainside Hospital, in Montclair New Jersey.
Dr. McCarrick has a special interest in geriatrics, in which he holds an Added Qualification certificate. He has also developed a Geriatric Center of Excellence within the practice, which includes a geriatric home visit and transitional care program.
One of Dr. McCarrick’s long-standing interests has been in healthcare information technology and clinical informatics. He completed his Masters in Biomedical Informatics at the Oregon Health Science University.
Dr McCarrick is also the founder of Care at Home New Jersey, a not for profit organization that provides support to home bound adults and their caregivers. Care at Home resources include video chat for socially isolated elders, support groups for caregivers, and an online directory of resources that come to the home.
