Dr. Sally Mrvacak Named Chief Medical Officer for Vanguard Medical Group
VERONA, N.J. – Vanguard Medical Group has appointed Dr. Sally Mravcak as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), recognizing her clinical leadership, strategic insight, and deep commitment to advancing value-based, patient-centered care across the organization.
A family medicine physician, Dr. Mravcak has long been a driving force at Vanguard, leading numerous key initiatives and serving in multiple leadership roles. She has helped guide workgroups focused on women’s health, deprescribing, obesity, and risk coding, and has been an active member of the Finance Committee, Population Health Team, and Board of Directors. In addition to her role as medical director of the Jersey City office, she facilitates interdisciplinary case conferences to support behavioral health integration and care for high-risk patients.
Her leadership was further affirmed when she was elected by the Board of Directors to a three-year term as Managing Partner. She also served as president of the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP). Now, as CMO, she will oversee clinical performance and medical strategy for all Vanguard locations throughout New Jersey.

Dr. Mravcak brings a wide range of experience from her prior roles in academic medicine, federally qualified health centers, and hospital systems.
