Arnold Pallay, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Pallay, a founding member of Vanguard Medical Group and Director of Practice Development, is a board-certified family physician in private practice in Montville, NJ since 1986. He previously founded Changebridge Medical Associates, P.A. a mid-sized, full service practice before merging into Vanguard Medical Group in 2012. Dr. Pallay graduated from the accelerated medical program at Boston University completing both his undergraduate major in history and his medical school studies there. He then finished his residency in Family Medicine at The Mountainside Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He was part-time faculty coordinator for obstetrics training there, until completing his 18 years of providing maternity care to his patients in 2003. Dr. Pallay holds clinical academic appointments at both, NJ Medical Schools and the Seton Hall Graduate School of Medicine.
Dr. Pallay is currently Vice Chair of Family Medicine at Morristown Medical Center and is the Associate Medical Director of Personalized Genomic Medicine at Atlantic Health System, Morristown Memorial/ Overlook Hospitals, where he lectures and champions issues in genetics for physicians and patients alike. He is the Medical Director for several area nursing homes and school physician for a number of neighboring towns as well. He has served as President of the Morris County Medical Society, the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians and the NJ Association of Medical Specialty Societies. Dr. Pallay is senior delegate to the Congress of Delegates from NJ to AAFP, and has served on its Commission on Finance and Insurance.
Dr. Pallay has had a long-standing interest in electronic health records, genetics in primary care, technology applications in medicine and healthcare reform. He speaks extensively in all media circuits on these and other issues to both public and peer audiences. He was the national medical spokesperson for the “Paid Vacation Act of 2009” in Congress seeking to mandate appropriate paid time off for employees of large corporations. He has served on the Montville Township Board of Health since 2005.
